Bow Cycle is one of the biggest bike shops in Canada, and is also a top spot to rent bikes in Calgary. 

The place offers mountain bikes, road bikes, and e-bikes that you can rent starting at $85 for a whole day. And in the snowy winter months, they even rent out fat bikes!

The cool thing about Bow Cycle is their online booking system. You can check out more than 30 bike options, read all about them, see photos, and watch videos (you know, the typical online jazz.).

Pedego Electric Bikes has many types to choose from – the Interceptor, Boomerang, and the super stylish City Commuter start at $50 for three hours. If you fancy riding tandem, that option starts at $75 for three hours.

When we usually think of bike rentals, it’s mostly for adults, but at Joe’s Garage Bicycle Rental and Repair, they have options for the whole family. They offer bikes for kids as well as including three-wheeled bikes, trailers for babies, and tandem bikes. 

You can easily spot this garage in the city; Joe, the owner, sets up his truck near the Bow River Pathway on the south side, just east of the 10th Street Bridge. Rentals kick off at only $15 for an hour (with a $5 fee for a helmet).

To add to this, not only does Joe provide bike rentals (and also repairs; he has all the tools and gear for any bike service, fixing everything from flat tires to broken chains).

We’ve found another cool bike rental spot for your Legacy Trail adventure – Rebound Cycle! This shop offers Legacy Trail bikes at $65 per day (pretty high, but still reasonable given it’s a specialized bike).

Additionally, they rent out mountain bikes, ranging from $65 to $85 per day, and summer fat bikes $65 per day, which are also perfect for the trails. And if you’re into speed and covering long distances, you might want to consider the carbon road bike, priced at $85 per day. 

All their rental bikes come with a helmet and a lock. Just a heads up –  their Legacy bikes are first-come, first-served, so it’s a good idea to book in advance to secure your gear.

They have these high-performance mountain bikes with full suspension, perfect for those green, blue, or black trails. Or, if you’re sticking to the highway shoulders and paved paths, you might fancy any of the road bikes they have.

The Canmore Nordic Centre has dedicated some of its most popular single-track trails for fat biking, and Trail Sports has a lot of available options for rent. Prices start at $60 for a whole day’s rental for adults.
