This timeless fable brings to life a cast of familiar characters through puppetry, stylized props, masks, and movement. Beautiful extended movement pieces representing Indian culture are used to enhance the audience’s experience in the play.
Alberta Theatre Projects’ artistic and executive directors have assembled a cast of ten actors to play up to 30 different characters. There are Mowgli’s wolf siblings and his friends, including Bhaloo the bear, Bagheera the panther, and Kaa the snake, who are Mowgli’s allies.
Although the play is appropriate for all ages, it is recommended for those aged 6 and up due to the theatrical haze and dramatic sound and light effects, including strobing lights.
