East Village Nordic Loop is one of the crowd favorites when it comes to cross country skiing in Calgary. Spanning a fantastic route of 1 kilometer, this great location makes skiing extremely accessible. 

Before going, do note that skiing equipment isn’t available at the skiing site itself. However, there’s a nearby shop called Sports Rent that has everything one might need. 

2. Confederation Park Golf Course

Usually, the Confederation Park is a well-loved location for golf enthusiasts. However, during the winter season, it becomes an enchanting spot to indulge in cross country skiing. 

The entire 3.4-kilometer route is extremely easy, thanks to the mostly flat paths. We’d say it’s an ideal location for beginners or families with kids.
