1. Going from Calgary to Jasper By Car

Going from Calgary to Jasper using your car is great for travelers who would love to see enchanting sights along the way. You can stop over anytime and even make little detours along the way. 

Another great thing about taking this route is that it’s a quick trip that offers scenic views. 

Step 1: Drive towards Highway 1 in Calgary

No matter where your starting point in Calgary is, the first step to get to Jasper is to start at Highway 1. Continue on that route for a while until you see the sign to Highway 93. 

Step 2: Continue along Highway 93

Once you find yourself on Highway 93, you can pretty much relax. From here, you just need to go straight until you see the exit that will take you to Jasper. 

By the way, you’ll be on this road for hours, so feel free to play some lively tunes that will pump you up or participate in a road trip game with your companions. 

Step 3: Take the AB-93 exit

Once you see the highway road signs that will take you to Jasper, take the AB-93 exit. Continue driving along that direction and you should arrive in Jasper in a few minutes.

Step 1: Finalize your trip schedule 

First things first: you have to finalize your trip schedule before booking your bus ride since they’ll be asking for your date of departure. With that in mind, call your companions, have a quick brainstorm, and come up with a final date. 

Step 2: Go to the bus company’s website

Step 1: Go to the RV rental company’s website

For RV Rentals, we recommend Fraserway. They have an extensive choice of vehicles for every type of traveler. For example, they have a Class C Motorhome in medium size for those traveling in a group of 5 people. 

They also have a truck camper made ideally for 2 people looking for something more low cost without sacrificing convenient amenities like the sleeping area, bathroom, kitchen, and such. 

Step 2: Book your trip

Once you’ve come into a conclusion on what type is suitable for you, you can now book your trip! 

Step 3: Prepare for your trip

Once everything’s settled, it’s time to be excited and count down the days leading up to your trip. While waiting, you can prepare several forms of entertainment to make your trip interesting such as a true crime podcast or a thrilling movie or series. 

Step 4: Pick up the vehicle 

If you booked a vehicle from Fraserway, you can pick up the vehicle in their office in Calgary from 8:30 AM to 3 PM on Mondays to Saturdays.

Step 5: Head towards Highway 1 

Now that your RV is good and ready to go, the first thing to do to get to Jasper from Calgary is to take the route going to Highway 1. This will take you to the fastest and most scenic route available. 

Step 6: Drive along Highway 93

Continue your drive along Highway 93. After a few hours, you’ll eventually see the exit that will lead you to Jasper. 

Step 7: Exit at AB-93

Take the AB-93 exit and continue forward to finally reach the town of Jasper.

There are a few ride hailing apps that can take you from Calgary to Jasper. However, Uber is the best choice, in our opinion. 

Of course if you already have this app installed, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you can download it through the App Store or Google Play

Step 2:  Book a ride

Once you have Uber on your phone, you’re ready to book a ride! Enter your desired pick-up and drop-off location. Make sure to double check it to avoid any inconveniences. 

By the way, you have the choice to book in advance or you can also book on the day itself. 

However, the latter might be a bit inconvenient, especially if you’re pressed for time. This is why we recommend the advance booking method. 

Step 3: Wait for the driver
