Customer Reviews
Here are some reviews from their clients:
“I have had a great experience with Physiodome. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and has been very supportive with my recovery. Dr Shubhshagan Kaur and Liaqat Ali Khan are excellent Physiotherapists and thanks to their dedication and hard work I am recovering from my shoulder and neck injury. Danica and Kara Lee at the front office are also amazing with scheduling and being accommodating. I highly recommend Physiodome!”
“I was suffering from lower back pain for several months. I visited a few professionals, but things only kinda-sort-of improved. I booked a physiotherapy session with Liaqat Khan. He introduced me to NKT and used its methodology to assess and treat me. During the assessment, I immediately noticed how thorough he was and realized he was truly trying to target the root problem. He pinpointed where my muscles were weak, causing overcompensation in other areas. He sent me home with exercises. I practiced them daily and returned to see him a week later for reassessment. I had improved in all measurements. I’ve had literally no back pain since! He’s a wonderfully skilled physiotherapist, if you ask me.”

I will recommend anyone who need physiotherapy to come and visit with them for a smooth and better live in the future.”—Simon Kwan
Holistic treatment
“I have so benifited from Brentwood Physio and their care. It is the first physiotherapy location were I was treated holisticlly and not just give excercises to practice in my session. I’ve benifited from both dry needling and ultrasound. When I began 2 months ago I could hardly move my arm, and work was very difficult. I can now move my arms with greater ease and mobility. For its physiotherapy services, Kensington does orthopedic and sports PT as well as vestibular rehabilitation.
To maximize recovery, the clinic also pairs PT with either acupuncture, orthotics, and even hypnotherapy—whichever is best. Kensington’s services also include preventive therapy and education.
However, know that these services are divided among Kensington Clinic’s small team of three PTs. This divided attention may be the reason why we’ve heard complaints about the clinic’s quality of treatments and customer service.
In addition to this con, we found that booking an appointment with Kensington can only be done by calling the clinic. Before booking an appointment, also make sure you have free weekdays as it’s only open on weekdays until 6 PM.
Pros
- Holistic treatment plans
- Preventive therapy treatments
- All-around wellness clinic
Cons

“Gord and his team offer high-quality therapy and make you feel welcome and important at their clinic. They take the time to understand the scope of the problem and go above and beyond to treat the entire issue(s). Therapists and staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Kensington Physiotherapy & Acupuncture Clinic.”—Jennifer Alexander
Thorough assessment, combination of home stretching and clinic treatments
“Saw Gord for a thoracic nerve impingement. He assessed me thoroughly, diagnosed the problem, immediately started treatments which included home stretching/exercises and in-clinic treatments. Throughout the time he was a pleasure to talk to, provided me constant updates on my progress and trajectory, and advanced my home exercises as was appropriate for my progress. It was easy to get in for urgent appointments when issues arose, and he was happy to tell me when I didn’t need to come back for more treatments.
I have subsequently referred friends and patients to this clini”—Dan Lane

“Renee Toxopeus helped me so much. I pulled my hamstring in mid-January and got an appointment for an hour after it happened (amazing!) with Renee. She was focused, professional, and helpful; her combinations of heat, massage, dry needling (surprisingly effective!) and electrical stimulation really helped with the pain and sped up the healing; she gave me easy-to-follow instructions for home – which actually worked – and had me back up on a snowboard very quickly. Top-notch communication, explains diagnosis and treatment
“Had the opportunity to be a patient of Rebecca the Physical Therapist. She was fantastic for the few weeks I was seeing her. Top notch communication skills explaining her diagnosis and the rational for her treatment in layman’s terms. Importantly, she’s a very hands on / manual physical therapist – never pushing for fancy machine based treatment modalities. She created a great home pain control regime for me with app of the techniques recorded so I could review at home. She also provided dry needling on my first visit which was fantastic relief from the injury pain. She also got be back into my normal routine without needing several hundred appointments. Will be returning again with my next sports injury.”—Garry Bertier
Thorough assessments, varied exercises
“I had a friend recommend going to Move to Move for Physio and I have not been disappointed. I started seeing Carlie Rompre last year after I dislocated my shoulder and have been very happy with our physio sessions. She is throrough in her assessment and takes the time to explain what is happening and provides lots of different exercises and stretches to complement the treatment. She is my go to physiotherapist in Calgary!”—Amy MacCulloch

Compassionate and thorough
“my teenage daughter sprained her ankle playing volleyball at provincials. Monique had her back on the court within a few weeks. She is thorough, compassionate and friendly. She gave my daughter so much hope and confidence that she was able to be back for nationals. all the staff at the clinic are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend going there!”—Karly Pauls
Determines root cause, excellent customer service
“When it comes to customer service they also go above and beyond for their clients. They also direct bill to a plethora of insurance companies. If your insurance company is not on their list, they will actively attempt to contact them to allow for direct billing to make it easier for you! I have had the great pleasure of working with Jonathan (Physiotherapist) for my injuries. He has extensive knowledge in regard to anatomy, physiology and sports injuries. He listens and tries to help you as much as he can. What I most appreciate about them is that he takes the time to search for the root cause of the injury, rather than only focusing on my pain areas. I also love that you get to work with the Physio for the treatments and a Kinesiologist for the exercise portion. This multi-disciplinary approach is something that most people do not appreciate enough.”—Andrew Ahn

A lifesaver, leaves no stone unturned
“Absolutely awesome place!! If you are in pain this is where you need to go ASAP! Physiotherapist David has been such a life saver in helping me with my back and hip issues that are over 6 years old..he is actually helping me to live with less pain while working to find the root of where it’s coming from and really delving into it leaving no stone unturned! I finally have hope for the first time in years, I cannot express how grateful I am that I found Strive & David! Thank you from the bottom of my heart”—Lisa McLeod
Immensely helpful, fast results
“Strive has helped me immensely with my back pain issues. I’d gone to see my doctor for lower back pain and he said I needed an MRI and an injection. Before trying any of that I went to Strive and had massage from Amanda and physiotherapy from Dave. After only one treatment each I got at least 60-70% of my mobility back and wasn’t in constant pain anymore. After 3 treatments each I’m pretty much at 100%. I went from moving and feeling like an 80 year old man to being able to be active again without any pain. I can’t say enough good things about both Amanda and Dave!”—Tony

Excellent instruction and exercise plans
“I have been working with Eryn from Competitive Edge for about five sessions on a bum shoulder (not the technical term, I’m told). She has transformed me from a pained, hunched man into a wood chopping, golf swinging specimen! I followed her excellent instruction and exercise plan and am feeling much better. I’ve still got a bit to go but will tackle the future with more confidence in my shoulder and more confidence in humanity. Thanks Eryn and thank you Competitive Edge for having therapists like Eryn on your amazing staff!”—Tommy Fenlon
Competent with assessment and treatment
“I have been going to Competitve Edge on and off for 2 years now for both new and old physical issues. In each case I found the physiotherapists knowledgeable and competent in their assessments and treatments. They are great at supplying targeted exercises and following up. In each case pain has been eased and mobility improved considerably.
I recommend Competitive Edge without reservation to friends and family and will continue to do so. Thanks for the relief!”—Kennan Simpson

Clean clinic, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable physiotherapists
“I would consider myself a mountain athlete and as such I push my body to the limits and sometimes beyond. The beyond part happens more often than not. I have recently started working with Quinn Turner at Fix Physio. Can’t say enough good things about the clinic and Quinn. The clinic is clean, friendly and feels very open and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and courteous. If you’re a mountain athlete and are in need of a physio therapist who understands the mountains and what is required physically to stay safe out there, then you need to visit Quinn. Not only is he a knowledgeable and attentive clinician, he is also a mountain athlete himself, who performs at a very high level. So he will work with you to get your body back to tip top so that you can get back in the game.!”—Travis Smutt

“Breanne had helped my shoulder pain significantly, having bursitis in 2 different spots in my shoulder and working as a nurse doing heavy lifting was making my life a pain, and now after a few months of Physio sessions here I have basically no pain and can live my life back to normal! She’s so knowledgeable and kind, the staff are all friendly and professional and the studio is clean and convenient! I have sent other friends here and they all love it as well! I was in rough shape the first time I came in and after only a few treatments it was like I was in a new body! I highly recommend this clinic!”—Rees Matzner
Easy to speak with, understanding, explains the process
“This was my first experience into the world of Physiotherapy and could not have found someone better than Gina to get started with. The atmosphere of RST is modern, yet very calm and inviting. I am so glad that I found Restorative Sports Therapy and someone like Gina to address my pain and discomfort.”—Tyler Boschman

Quick and immense improvement, compassionate and straightforward PT
“I have been going to see Andrea for physio and not only is she great at what she does, my condition is improving quicker than expected. I came to her with a chronic neck/cervical spine pain that I’ve had for months hoping this was my last shot and fixing the issue (I had been going for chiro and massage regularly and they couldn’t seem to fix the problem) however I’m 2 treatments in and have noticed an immense change in my overall range of motion and well-being. She is straight to the point and will do whatever she can to bring you toward recovery. I find her to be extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. I am grateful that I was referred to this clinic and look forward to continuing my journey to full recovery here. Lastly, thanks to the front desk reception staff whom are so friendly and accommodating, you ladies are great!!”—Kay Waller

Customer Reviews
Gentle but worth it
“I purchased a Groupon to try out Spice Wellness and was so happy that I did! Wendy, Simon and Donald are fantastic and so helpful. I am unable to do conventional exercise due to a severe neck injury, but vibration therapy was gentle enough. I finally have core strength again and am finally getting definition, without being in severe pain. I also get massages there from Tamara and have been so happy with her care. Definitely worth trying if you have any health issues that prevent you from typical exercise!”—Julia Caldwell
Leaves you feeling energized with a sense of well-being
“I love going to Spice Wellness; the staff and owners are so helpful and knowledgeable. There are a variety of WBV machines and programs, so you can do something different every day. You can feel your muscles working, you will see results too. After 1 month I had lost several inches; after 4 months, my legs are as firm as they were 15 years ago. I always leave feeling energized and with a lingering sense of well being. Plus all the other great stuff – far infrared sauna, massages, ionic foot bath, and alkaline water.”—Janet Scott

Proper diagnosis, effective treatment, professional staff
“Foozieh was the absolute best therapist I could’ve asked for. After numerous attempts to get over a lower back injury (different specialists, different clinics), several visits with her not only helped me to get properly diagnosed but allowed me to walk without pain again. I highly recommend this team of professional and friendly individuals.”—Daniel Velasco
Helps regain mobility and resume activities
“I had a wonderful experience with Andi Bullis, Physical Therapist! She is so knowledgeable, skilled & caring. I had eight treatments to rehab my severely broken shoulder (complex surgery was required) &, with Andi’s treatments during appointments & exercises given to me between, at the four month mark I am back to my workout program & about to resume golf! Can’t say enough about this clinic and staff, in particular Andi. Many, many thanks for helping me regain my former activities! Highly recommend Diverse Sports to anyone needing their services. OPERATING HOURS | Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM |
For over 30 years, Fifth Ave Physiotherapy has been providing the best physiotherapy in Calgary. It does vestibular rehabilitation, sports PT, orthopedic PT, and pelvic health PT to cater to just about any condition Calgarians may have.
Aside from physio, Fifth Ave also does massage therapy, dry needling, and joint management. It even has special programs for those with TMJ, osteoarthritis, and other joint problems.
Moreover, Fifth Ave’s physiotherapists are also certified in intramuscular stimulation and dry needling procedures. So, your PT experience can be a combination of one or more techniques, depending on your body’s needs.
Unfortunately, it’s only open on weekdays and even closes as early as 6 PM. At least, you can still visit it as early as 7 AM, as long as you schedule an appointment.
To book an appointment, you need only choose whether you want a virtual or physical consultation. Then, you’d need to choose a physiotherapist and a preferred schedule and even check the rates per appointment.
That said, we’ve noticed that its rates are a bit on the higher end. So, make sure you have your insurance card or your budget ready when visiting this clinic for physiotherapy.
Pros
- Wide range of PT types
- Accepts MVA-related cases
- Virtual appointment options
- Ability to choose PT in online forms
Cons
- Relatively expensive services

Great guidance, instruction, and support
“All the staff at Fifth Avenue Physio, and especially Kelly, have been absolutely amazing over the last 18 months. Kelly is kind and caring and provides great guidance, instruction and support. In working with her, I’ve returned to better health and movement after a major surgery and a ski injury that resulted in a broken bone. I’ve recently returned to see her again after another surgery as I know she’ll help me to get back on track. I have full confidence in her abilities and would highly recommend her.”—Elizabeth Moore
Knowledgeable, crafts specific plans
“Joyce is great and very knowledgeable. She explains what’s going on in your body and comes up with a plan to work through the issues. It has made a huge difference in how I feel on a day to day basis, especially during Covid times. Her and her team at fifth ave physio are great and would highly recommend.”—David Bao

360 BrainBody is yet another all-around clinic as it offers physiotherapy, chiropractic adjustments, osteopathic manual therapy, and acupuncture.
This clinic’s PTs provide rehabilitation for those with injuries due to MVAs or sports accidents and overuse. Some PTs also have a background in dance, which we find special among the many physiotherapy clinics in Calgary.
Additionally, it has pilates, meditation, and mindfulness classes to help its patients maintain results from their PT sessions, even when they’re at home.
Those who can’t visit the clinic can also benefit from 360 BrainBody’s telehealth consultations. Do know that these are only available for naturopathic and counselling consultations as well as pilates.
You can avail of 360 BrainBody’s services by first filling out its online forms. In these forms, you can choose your preferred schedule and Calgary physiotherapist.
We also like that 360 BrainBody has extended opening hours, opening as early as 7 AM and closing as late as 7 PM. It even has a whole day operation on Saturdays to cater to more patients.

Always pleasant and accessible, tailored approach
“I have been seeing Mike for physiotherapy for the past few months and have received a wholistic and comprehensive assessment/treatment plan. It is always challenging to find a good physiotherapist and I would definitely recommend Mike, as he takes a different approach: more focus on functional movements, individual tailored assessment and alternative means to tackle complex issues. Mike has specifically helped me to address chronic lower back pain, hip and shoulder mobility and assessing my movement patterns. In terms of 360, admin staff are always pleasant, the space is open and parking is easily accessible (underground + free).”—Maria-Eve Turdel
Prescribes exercises, explains treatments and diagnosis
“I have complex and advanced knee instability following multiple surgeries and arthritic deterioration. I searched for a skilled physiotherapist for over a year and am very pleased with Rebecca Lee. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the physiotherapists at 360BrainBody were as qualified, but I have only seen Rebecca. She explained how my hip rotation caused muscle tension on both sides, leading to pain. I had never been told about that before, but it was true! She released the tension using intramuscular stimulation with accupuncture needles (optional, but more effective than massage) and prescribed exercises to loosen the muscles and correct my hip and femur rotation that actually feel good and fit in my busy schedule.”—Claire Gougeon

Its physio services are not only for helping those recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries but also for those with vestibular conditions, sports-related conditions or injuries, and pelvic health issues like incontinence.
One of the things we find unique about Ability is that it has two locations Calgarians can visit. So, patients need only choose their preferred location, schedule, and physiotherapist all in Ability’s online forms.

For a well-rounded recovery, Stargate’s PT combines the use of physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, soft tissue release, and exercise programs. It’s also among the few clinics with certified Kinesio taping practitioners.
Stargate’s main PT also has a certification in lifestyle medicine, so he can provide lifestyle intervention to those with chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.
But despite these promises of excellent treatment and care, the clinic has still received complaints regarding its reception staff.
To add to this con, Stargate may not be as flexible as you’d want them to because it has relatively late opening hours. Still, it’s open most days until early evenings.
If you’re looking forward to hiring Stargate’s PTs, you can simply answer its online contact forms. Your booking schedule and attending physiotherapist will depend on the clinic’s discretion.

Welcoming, professional, and experienced, makes things easier
“I have been in 2 MVA’s in the past year and a half (both not my fault). I was skeptical at first as many are. I was welcomed with warm open arms and after the first visit, my thoughts were changed immediately. They are very professional but most important, they are very experienced and knowledgeable. I was unable to see progression in other clinics and with only a few sessions at Stargate, the team combined their knowledge and I felt immediate positive results. I would not change a step. Jones has helped me so much and with his treatments, got me back to my self faster and healthier than I would have one my own. Courtney made it so much easier to return to my regular routines with relaxation and great advice. Jazz has been a huge step in my progress. She has not only helped me with my current injuries, but helped me with my unrelated issues as well.”—Randy Wallington
Does remarkable job assisting patient rehabilitation
“This was an experience I’ll never forget. From my car accident, I went through series of pain that limited my mobility that affected my daily routine and unable to work which lead to mental stress. Working in a physical environment and having the thought if the pain would ever go away really rattled my mind. But Stargate’s Clinic Director and Physical Therapist Mr. Jones Onigbinde, does a remarkable job on assisting to my rehabilitation since day one. His compassion and focus assured that I’m in good hands and on to a steady recovery. That’s why I owe my deepest gratitude to Jones and to his colleagues, Ellyn Villaruel and Femi Aladeyelu of Stargate Physical Therapy.”—Russel Garcia

Thorough and detailed planning during pregnancy and postpartum
“So grateful to Christine Mac at Peak Health for providing care during pregnancy and postpartum. I’ve become a mega advocate for pelvic floor physio and believe all women can benefit from seeing Christine. She was able to provide a week-to-week plan for exercises and body awareness during pregnancy and rehab for the months following birth. Birthing a 10lb baby with no stitches and a prompt recovery was, no doubt, a credit to the work Christine and I did together. I used to think pelvic floor care was about doing kegals – I had a lot to learn and I will always appreciate taking the time to see Christine regularly.”—Christina Bartlett
Supportive, knowledgeable, and understanding
“Christine is an amazing, knowledgeable and caring physiotherapist. She planned the therapy for an issue that I was dealing with for years, and it went very well and exactly how was planned. During this progress, Christine was so supportive and understanding. Tried to comfort me, referred me to the right people and follow up. I really can’t recommend her enough. She absolutely made a difference in life! Thanks Christine for all you have done for me!”—Paniz Parsaie

Serving North Calgary for a few decades now, Northern Hills Sports Physiotherapy (NHSPT) provides one of the best physical therapy in Calgary. This clinic’s PT services include orthopedic, vestibular rehabilitation, sports, women’s health, neurological, and pediatric PT.

NHSPT also caters to those with workplace-related and motor vehicle accident injuries. And luckily, the clinic does direct billing to most insurance providers, even to those involved in WCB and MVA claims.

Makes you feel at home, attentive and positive thinking
“Abigail is a wonderful physiotherapist. Very attentive, caring and positive thinking individual. I had tried physio at another therapy place and ran away….signing up at rhemagold changed my negative feelings about physiotherapists. My 4 year old also felt at home with them everytime. I highly recommend Rhemagold physiotherapy to everyone. Betty the massage therapist was also amazing to me and my daughter.”—Oluwayinka Otulana

Customer Reviews
“I’ve been going to physiotherapist for six years and I’ve been seeing Brandon for a couple years now. I have went from going every couple weeks to every six months for check ups. Highly recommend!!” – Karissa Hammond
“Prairie Therapy has been a fantastic experience. I have been running for over two decades, but had to stop in recent years because of recurring knee pain. After a couple of years of dealing with this pain, I started physiotherapy at Prairie Therapy, based on a friend’s recommendation. Russ, my physiotherapist, used his impressive knowledge to determine what was causing my pain. He explained the cause to me in detail, and provided me with easy at-home exercises to help relieve the pain and get me back on track. He set realistic goals that I was able to achieve, and I saw results within just a few weeks. I am happy to say that I am now able to run again. Thank you, Russ!” – Janel Watson
