With karaoke, you’re either belting out your heart’s content or cringing at the sound of your own voice echoing through a room full of judgmental strangers.
The last time I braved karaoke, a stranger—who’d clearly overestimated their abilities and their drink tolerance attempted ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ I got secondhand embarrassment just watching.
But in the aftermath of that glorious mess, a thought struck me that surely Calgary has better karaoke spots where even the most tone-deaf singers could feel like stars.
So, I did the legwork and looked for the best karaoke spots in Calgary—places where you can unleash your inner rockstar without fear of judgment. Here’s who made it to the list!
How much does it cost to do karaoke in Calgary?
It costs at least 20 CAD per hour to do karaoke in Calgary. This is just an estimate. The actual price will depend on factors such as the number of people, the type of room, whether you order food, and other considerations.

1. Bacchus Karaoke Bar

Address: 832 5 Ave SW
Contact Details: +1 403-474-1009
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday – 6 PM to 2:30 AM
Bacchus has a great vibe—like, truly good energy. When I went with a group of friends, it was easy to see why people love it.
The shared stage was, hands down, the most exciting part for me. It’s like a karaoke disco with its own heartbeat—people performing their hearts out while others danced and cheered from the sidelines.
Their song selection is another win. I like that they’ve got everything—the latest chart-toppers and classics.
The private rooms are a nice option for people who aren’t about public performances. I found it cool that you can book one for birthdays or just casual nights with friends.
But I was a little disappointed by how cramped the rooms felt, especially if you’ve got a bigger group. You’re definitely trading elbow room for privacy.
Even so, the bar staff was fantastic. They were friendly and kept the drinks coming without ever having to wait long.
I enjoyed the food here, too. The pizza, wings, and fries were exactly what I wanted from a karaoke night.
Nice service and atmosphere
“Yesterday, my friends and I went to karaoke. I have to say that it was my first experience because I’ve always avoided singing in front of people. But this karaoke was different. We got a room where we could sing as much as we wanted with our friends. It was really a lot of fun! The service was really nice, from time to time someone came and asked if we needed anything. I recommend this place if, in particular, you like to sing and want to spend time with your friends in a nice atmosphere”

Great service and selection of soju

2. Nanta Karaoke & Bar

Address: 512 6 St SW
Contact Details: +1 403-262-9783
Operating Hours:
- Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday – 7 PM to 1 AM
- Friday & Saturday – 6 PM to 2:30 AM
Nanta has a massive selection of tunes—over 10,000 songs to choose from. I loved that they’ve got everything covered such as classic 80s jams, K-pop bangers, and and even the latest Taylor Swift hits.
The shared spotlight stage area is great if you want to mingle with other karaoke enthusiasts. But I heard a couple of grumbles about requested songs not showing up, which could be frustrating.
Now, personally? I’m all about the private rooms here. I loved being able to crank up the volume without bothering anyone. Plus, the room itself was comfy and well-equipped.
What really sweetened the deal for me was the Sunday promotion. They offer two free hours for the first part of the night. That’s a win if you’re looking to belt out a marathon playlist without breaking the bank.
Their food was another highlight—those bulgogi dumplings lingered on my tastebuds. The cocktails, though, were a bit of a mixed bag for me. A few were perfect, but a couple tasted a little too watery.
Amazing place for friends’ karaoke night
“Amazing place! We had such a great night at the Karaoke with my friends. Also, I forgot my purse and they returned it to me with all the contents. I really appreciate it and definitely will come back.”

3. K-One Karaoke in Calgary

Contact Details: +1 403-230-1212
Operating Hours:
- Sunday to Thursday – 4:30 PM to 2 AM
- Friday & Saturday – 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM
You can’t beat the All You Can Sing at K-One Karaoke for only $18.95. And yes, it’s for the entire evening, so I thought it was an absolute steal.
Luckily, my friends and I were able to get a private room. It was ideal for our group to sing without feeling cramped. There was enough space to move, sing, and even attempt a little dancing.
Their song selection also stood out to me. I was happy to see that it spanned decades—from 60s classics to the latest chart toppers. It was also cool to see how diverse their catalog was, from Vietnamese to Cantonese options.
My only critique was the poor sound quality in the rooms. I found it a little muddy and didn’t project as well as I’d hoped.
Regardless, their food was surprisingly good. They had the usual karaoke munchies, like fries and nuggets, and the more gourmet options, like beef brisket. I enjoyed their slushies, too—refreshing and instant mood-lifters.
A lot of songs to choose from
“This place is fun! Very clean and good equipments. Lot’s of choices for songs. The honey citrus tea was really nice. Potato fries are great. One suggestion is please add Vegetarian and Vegan meal options on your menu, currently only potato/yam fries and edamame are plant-base.”

Great song list and nice staff
“Great place to go Karaoke with friends! Staffs are extremely nice. A lot of songs and is very easy to find. Overall I would recommend it!”

4. SOLE Restaurant & Bar

Address: 703 6 Ave SW #120

Operating Hours:
- Monday to Wednesday & Friday – 5:30 PM to 2 AM
- Thursday – 5:30 PM to 1 AM
- Saturday – 6 PM to 2:30 AM
Sole brings a K-bar atmosphere that’s hard not to love—it’s cozy and designed to win over karaoke enthusiasts.
At first, I thought the 2-hour minimum for a room was a bit short, but they have a pretty clever workaround. If you spend $35 per person on food and drinks, they’ll waive the room fees. I think that’s totally doable!
We booked one of their eight rooms for our group of six. I was happy with the size because we had plenty of space to sing and dance around. I was just a bit disappointed that the rooms weren’t soundproof.
On the bright side, their song selection is pretty wide and diverse. With 10,000+ songs spanning 10 different languages, there’s something for everyone.
The food here deserves a shout-out, too. They have traditional Korean dishes like bibimbap and kimchi jjigae. The real star for me was the Korean fried chicken—crispy and flavorful.
You can pair that with their impressive soju selection—I’m talking 20+ flavors. I personally loved the peach soju. It was light, refreshing, and way too easy to drink.
Great service for food and drinks
“This just might be a Korean owned karaoke, but hands down it has great service for food and drinks. Very great cocktails and great Korean food. Usually karaoke places have mediocre food, but this place has great food options. As a Koraan I approve. The drinks, the service, the food and most important for any business the customer service here is top knotch. The owner and the staff are super friendly and not to mention beautiful and handsome. Feels right at home being at this Karaoke/bar. Highly recommended if your in Calgary and being my favorite place to drink always the best to everyone that comes here.”

Contact Details: +1 403-452-7790
Operating Hours:
- Sunday to Thursday – 6 PM to 12 AM
- Friday & Saturday – 6 PM to 2 AM
Galaxy Karaoke has 11 different rooms. It doesn’t matter if you’re going solo here or group (and yes, they can fit up to 60 people, which is wild).
When I went with a group of friends, we scored a clean and spacious room. I appreciated that acoustics were on point. There was no weird, overwhelming echoes.
The music selection was massive and global, which I loved. I even found some of my favorite classic Spanish hits. However, I was a little bummed that there weren’t a lot of newer songs.
Regardless of that, the food and drinks were decent—nothing spectacular, but good enough for a fun night out. I’d recommend trying their nachos; they were surprisingly good.
As for the drinks, we had a small hiccup with our server. They mixed up our order and brought the wrong drinks. While it was a bit frustrating, they were quick to fix the mistake.
Nice place and average prices
“Nice place and average prices. The biggest room is nice though it’s open to all the other rooms that a lot of people wonder around. Drinks are good”
– Allam El-Dib, Google Reviews
Great service and prices
“Great prices! Great service! If you have any trouble with setting things up they’re more than happy to help you. My friends and I had so much fun.
Story time: I accidentally forgot my phone in one of the rooms and they rushed down do bring it to me. I’ve never experienced such kindness from other businesses! Thank you”
